| BBV loves the current Corvette race cars. Freaking best ever.
But in 1977, John Greenwood, progenitor of all those wide-body Corvette's [BTW- with the design help of none other than Zora!] introduced THIS bad boy "winged thing" at Brainerd, MN. Why is this a certified bad boy? JUST LOOK AT IT!
The aerodynamics and venting were extreme and exaggerated. Also, this was the first tube frame Corvette race car, it ran an automatic transmission, and Bob Riley [another Chevy racing legend] did the chassis design and tuning. It looked wild, ran weird, but definitely was a bad boy.
.....The #1 hit in 1977 was Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way". Little did we know that Greenwood thought the same thing whenever he looked at a stock Corvette!
