| ALMS: 2013 Post-Sebring BoP | |

| After each race IMSA reviews the Balance of Performance for all of the cars in the ALMS. Coming into the race week at Long Beach, they issued the post-Sebring BoP. The Corvettes were issued +15kg (on top of the +15kg issued pre-Sebring) and a refueling restriction of -2mm. The Corvettes were not the fastest GT cars at Sebring so the weight add is a little mysterious. IMSA, supposedly, does not restrict cars based on race results like other series, such as the Pirelli World Challenge, for example
The "balance" is a little lopsided at the moment, but this is nothing new to Corvette Racing.
BASELINE: 1245 kg (2745 lbs) Corvette: +30 Ferrari: 0 BMW: 0 Viper: -20 Porsche: -35 Aston: -40
That is a 70 kg spread (154 lbs).
Historically, the Corvettes have never qualified on pole at Long Beach since making the transition to GT2/GT. This will make it even more difficult. Long Beach is a very difficult track to make any passing. All we can do is press on, and see what happens.
