| Back to business as usual in the ALMS after the long Le Mans break.
Corvette Racing officially qualified 3rd and 6th in the ultra competitive GT class but due to the #44 Porsche failing post qualifying tech inspection and the #55 BMW having the fix a fuel leak during race day warm-up, the Corvette actually started 1st and 4th.
On the opening lap Tommy Milner in the #4 Corvette quickly managed to pull a gap and get ahead of some traffic.
Traffic always plays a huge roll at Lime Rock and this race was no different. With the Prototype cars being nearly the same speed at the GT cars on most of the track, it made it very difficult to make any passes.
Several cars took the lead in GT at times, including both Corvettes. With the clock ticking down in the final minutes the #45 Flying Lizards Porsche lead with both Corvettes nipping at its heals. Ultimately, traffic made it too difficult to make a move, a caution came out, and the race ended under the yellow flag. Corvette finished 2nd and 3rd.
Overall a very good points weekend. Corvette Racing leaves Lime Rock with the #4 drivers in 1st place, and the #3 drivers in 2nd place, and Chevrolet holds on to the manufactures points lead.
