| Someone better check the record for most comments on a BBV post.
Because this one might reset the count.
Rumor is that GM Racing will debut Chevy's 2012 Grand-Am DPG3 [Daytona Prototype 3rd generation] at SEMA next week. And the tube-chassis rear-engine racecar will be branded CORVETTE!
FYI - It likely will NOT be painted like Jake.
A few GM'ers still struggle with such an overt Jake identity for Corvette, even as a race car.
* Chevy never let Pratt + Miller take this Corvette LMP beyond a wind tunnel model.
So much for competing for overall wins at Le Mans.
* And now, if true, the ALMS Corvette will have to fight headlines with a 'Silhouette Vette'.
So much for all that 'From Track to Street' / 'Racing improves the real Corvette' integrity speak.

Is it WTF time? Or time to wait and see what the true Corvette Racing story will be for 2012? |
