| BBV got a note from Competition Race Parts / CRP Racing reminding us [and you] that there are Corvettes still hitting the P1 step on the podium.
Here we are talking SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge.
At Laguna Seca. When WC ran on the schedule during the ALMS weekend.
Mike Skeen in the Cragar C6 took the win.
Teammate, Patrick Lindsey in the Hawk Performance Corvette grabbed P3.
In their note to us, CRP Racing made it clear they are not a factory team, getting "absolutely zero from GM. Yet, we are out there beating the Cadillacs that are totally backed / financed by GM. We're pretty proud that a small, independent team like us can get our Corvettes on the podium."
We like the grassroots side of Corvette, as well.
The WC season finale is at Road Atlanta, again with ALMS - The Petit Le Mans, Sept 28 - Oct 1. Television for the WC Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta races will air Oct 29th / 1PM EST on Versus. |
