Or in the case of Corvette Racing vs BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, and the others.... It's 'Get ahead!'
P1. Great job #4 C6R team, Mags + Gavin.
In the Mosport GT paddock, every leading GT team had feelings about the pending Rules Adjustment. And guess what?
Everyone's pissed.... Including BMW! Who's position seems to be, "It's unfair to penalize our cars just on Lime Rock data!" Hmmm. Did anyone say THAT was the criteria?
And Porsche and Ferrari were vocal, too. But, talk is cheap. And actions speak louder.
So, Corvette Racing managed their anger and channeled it onto the track. Passing the competition, putting themselves in position to capitalize. Staying cool when others got angry with traffic.
So, now at next race Mid-Ohio, the dreaded restrictors and weights kick in. And maybe the racing will get back to the way the original rules intended. A fair[er] fight. |
