| A reply to our inquiry, from godug, adds more context to the Feb 9 / 10 plans for Corvette Racing at the Sebring Test. In that the 2011 Championship fight has already begun, we respect the guarding of details. But, here's what was shared -
* The 2 P&M C6R's WILL sport the new 2011 paint job [Can't wait to see!].
* New ACO / ALMS rules only allow 1 rear wing design for the season AND @ Le Mans. So, aero work is focused on maximizing that scenario.
* The new paddle shift and Bosch ECM systems require more mapping to work them into maximum control of the motor / powertrain.
* New Driver Acclimation, plus car Drivability, Fuel Economy, and Chassis Tuning are the primary objectives of the Sebring Test and other pre-season sessions.
Thanks, godug. And now you know. |
