| | | Yes, we have that hung-over feeling after The 24 Hours. And we have the regrets - Why? What if? WTF?..... This frustration and anger feels a little familiar. It reminds us of Corvette Racing when they were starting in GT1 a decade ago. A new car, new engine, new class and the grueling Le Mans24. We recall how CR got their 'early' ass handed to them in a string of disappointing defeats (Vipers, remember?). But, the CR team analyzed their weaknesses, rethought their strategy – and just got a hell of a lot better and better until they came to dominate the GT1 class. Got so good that over time they virtually made the GT1 class irrelevant as marques either dropped out (including the Vipers) or never entered – Fearful of the humiliation of certain defeat at the hands of the mighty GT1 Vettes. Which brings us here to GT2. CR changed class and by extension car and engine in its search of real competition again. They found it! So, again, there's work to do, just like there was a decade ago. But, as always, godug put it best: "So now we go back, we work harder, we improve ourselves, and we look forward to coming back next to achieve our goal of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. We never give up at Corvette Racing."
