| New images of Corvette's future have emerged from GM. PR copy suggests these renderings, and a renaming to "The 50th Anniversary Corvette Stingray Concept”, mark a progressing evolution of the Transformers design. Others caught the story here and here, so far.
But, didn't Ed Welburn flat out say, "That car [eg- Transformers] is not the next Corvette."?
So, what's the point here with this new rendering-work? We expect it's the split-window [Remember Ed said, "The split-window is something that I expect for the next Corvette."]
.....AND testing the 'reaction waters' as to how overt the C2-look fenders, greenhouse, V-back fastback can be taken into the C7. But, how / when / on what chassis / with what power are equally important vs just a 'new' throw-back look.
Which BTW, we feel even the NFL should stop, as THEIR 50th celebration 'step-into-history' got the Denver Broncos adorned in THESE [milk] duds! |
