| .431 seconds to pole. All the competition knows Corvette is coming up. ....Fast.
In fact, rumor is that both Porsche and Ferrari have already expressed their concerns to the ALMS Rules Team thinking Corvette C6R has come out of the GT2 box 'too fast'!
The ghosts of Aston Martin-like lobbying lurk wherever Jake treads.
Speaking of 'treads', the Michelin / Dunlop battle is starting to take shape on-track, in 2010 team decision sessions, and in the marketplace. Maybe look for something special from Bibendum @ Petit Le Mans.....
The race itself, from a strategy perspective, should be a two-stop event. Speed / momentum through the corners is the Mosport secret - A Corvette strength. Aggressiveness pays dividends on this classically daunting track.
The new yellow flag rule - Pace car picks up race leader / then the pitstop cycle / then pick-up2 of the leader[??] - goes into effect today to preserve the GT2 race.
NO Challenge Porsches @ Mosport, so traffic will be less a factor [Sorry, JO].
PS - Whither Ferrari? A crash in Sat practice set them back. |
