| The 2010 ZR1, like ALL manual transaxle Corvettes [remember the gearbox is back with the rear diff for good weight distribution], has Launch Control.
So, GM took the media out for hands-on evaluations, which gen'ed a host of pro-C6 articles / posts; eg- Autoblog, Jalopnik to cite 2.
BTW - BBV's NON-invitation is evidence that we are NOT the 'tail wagged by the GM PR dog'. .....Although, GM, we ARE avail for the next Corvette junket!
But the point IS, the key Corvette LC points are –
* It flat out works. * It's easy to engage [eg- hit THIS button - Done! ] vs the secret code-like actions others require. * AND no warranties are harmed in the making of any Corvette launch. [....Can’t vouch for the small pets / wildlife in the path of a 3.4 sec ZR1 run!]
Which gets us to GT-R. It is UNTRUE that you void the warranty of the 2010 edition Nissan.... Because THEY REMOVED LC from the car! Problem solved. Car slower! The 2009’s? Still a W issue.
And GT-R owners caught in the crosshairs are not happy. But, they can always surrender their trade for a ZR1. |
