| NO, this is not about the HBO vampire show....
It IS about sucking! As in, "Hey, Porsche, the new Panamera really s***s!"
And this is not about ‘ugly’.
That rant has been beaten to death in the media / blogosphere.
No, this is about the ‘True Blood’ of a brand.
About being true to what you are. And what happens when you are not.
Panamera recently had its most public debut in Monterey / Pebble Beach.
So, now we can officially pity the poor Porschefile.
All those Le Mans wins and all their racing heritage....
Yet, they just want to be like Lexus and sell SUVs and 4-door sedans!
Porsche makes sports cars [....well, except for that side-step into the WWII Tiger tank business]. The Porsche name should not be attached to 4-door anything.
You don’t see Corvette spitting out such things.
So, when our GT2 Corvette C6R passes that Porsche RSR for the win later this year, spare a thought for the Stuttgart engineers as they wonder, “You know, Jurgen, if we didn’t waste our time on Panamera, would our 911 have been just a little faster?”
