| You just can't make this up.
Literally 40 years after Jimi Hendrix redefined the Star Spangled Banner with his electric guitar at Woodstock for a new America, there is some Mid Ohio PR lady named Michelle who in 2009 never got the message.
Guitarist and 'vette fan Dan Fastuca, (a guest of Pratt & Miller and the ALMS), was invited to play the SSB for the race opening.
Ok, the sound system sucked and his playing may not have been up to the great Hendrix - or our own Mike West for that matter - but really, Michelle?!!
Evidently, the woman freaked out, threatening to pull the plug right then and there, later posting a hand-wringing apology on the Mid Ohio website about the horror of it all!
What else can be said??
Well, in tribute to America, the Corvette, and Les Paul (the father of the electric guitar who just died a couple of days ago and, we guess, is ultimately responsible for all this mess):
