| The Tour de Road America - Bike Ride to Fight Cancer presented by Delta Dental is on again.
The popular Corvette Challenge “race within the ride” will also return on Friday for an international, winner-take-all, one-lap bicycle race around the 4.0-mile course.
Godug, who lists his age as “old enough to know better,” goes after Jan Mags [age 36] and SpeedTV commentator Calvin Fish [uh, 48] to raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the Austin Hatcher Foundation, the late Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic. More details and pledging here.
The trio's snarks are typical [if you know these guys] -
godug - “After the brutal drubbing I put on Oliver Gavin last year, I am truly surprised that Jan would step up. But that Danish ‘Viking heritage’ appears to have gotten the better of his common sense. As far as Calvin is concerned, he will do just about anything to get on TV.”
Jan - “This race should be easier than slapping around the Aston Martins. That Geezer will be wheezing by the time we head up the hill. Plus, if he loses, he buys the beer for all my fans at Le Mans!”
Fish - “How did I get roped into this deal...But, this is for a GREAT cause and I WILL do anything to get on TV.” |
