| "We went thru scrutineering yesterday in pouring down rain...BUT, the instant we got finished and were to pose for our 'Team Picture' the sun came out!!! The first time we had seen it 2 days....
Good omen???"

* In keeping with tradition, scrutineering takes place in the center of Le Mans at Place de Jacobins, in the shadow of Cathédrale Saint-Julien, the city's massive 11th century cathedral.
* Despite heavy rain most of the day, thousands turned out to see the racecars and drivers on this first of two days of scrutineering. [Bonus pic for the details and capturing the look everyone gets behind the wheel of a Corvette, let alone the mighty C6R!]
