Yes, folks, GM is badge-engineering Volt. We know $$ is tight, but have we not learned anything? Wasn't it this stuff that helped get GM here?
Which gets us to Corvette. No, we do not want a Cadillac-badged C6 [Oops....Forgot about XLR. But, it's Deadwood, now].
What BBV suggests is that the Corvette brand be unleashed from its Chevy parentage [....IF Chevy does not want to promote its best brand equity]. If Volt can be spread around, then take the Corvette brand and do the same. Set up boutique storefronts @ the best Cadillac, Buick / GMC, AND Chevy dealers, get the power dealers to build some stand-alone Corvette brand stores in NY, LA, LV, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai.....and rock this money-maker.
As to lineup, we want an entry Vette, the Z06 / ZR1 couplet, a mid-motor exotic, and even a 4-door [all with most affordable performance in each class AND 'front-of-the line' energy efficient technology in each car].
....And send a few to Holden, too.
