| However, anytime you see the Gulf colors, The Six Degrees Kevin Bacon Game can get you from Gulf Racing to Corvette. So, racing team managers from Aston Martin, Audi, McLaren [old and recent], Porsche, and Ford should all hit their knees and thank Corvette for Gulf Oil.
For if it was not for Corvette, then Grady Davis of Gulf NEVER would have been bitten by the racing sponsorship bug. It is where the all the Gulf Racing $$’s started.
