| WRP = Witness Relocation Program / ALMS = ....oh, you know. Sometime last season the GT2 Vette vanished. But, thanks to BBV friend, Charley Robertson, we got a heads-up about Lou and LG Motorsports preparing for 2009.
* Submitting an application to the 2009 24 hours of Le Mans. * Testing @ Sebring for the 12-hour race.
With backing from Riley Cars, a French battery company [?], and the French Corvette Club, LG feels [hopes] they will get strong consideration from the ACO for the June race. "Our season hinges directly on our Le Mans application. If we do get accepted, we have funding for Le Mans, Sebring, St. Pete, Long Beach, Mid-Ohio, Petit and Laguna.", announced Lou. Note the new nose shape for this year. Gigliotti also said more testing and wind tunnel trips are planned if the ACO accepts THIS Corvette. Dunlop Tires are on the car for Sebring, but Michelin may be in the works. The new regs require 20+ kilos and a smaller air restrictor. So, the team is working through that @ 3 days of Sebring testing. Lou summarized, "We're able to hang close to the BMW times, so we're happy about that." |
