| This week was the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. ....and apparently the English are still trying to get even.
Autosport magazine [from the ‘merry old’] cooked up a story that Corvette would not be running Le Mans this year, due to the crunch @ GM.
Bollocks to the British press and your Aston Martin consorts. Nothing has changed with 2009 Corvette plan. Sebring, Long Beach, La Sarthe with the GT1 cars. GT2’s for second part of the season. Corvette is not going anywhere, except a few stalls down pitlane @ Le Mans and back on the top step of the podium when the clock finishes its second lap.
Snipe all you want when our auto industry is down, but do you really have solid ground from which to prey?
Please note, we held our tongue on the British Car Biz when Jaguar went Indian, AM went Middle Eastern, and RR / Triumph / Mini / Bentley all joined the Fatherland. ....or when MG and Sterling sailed off to China. ....or TVR went to God knows where.
Held our tongue. Until now. See you in June [wankers]. |
