| Of course, that is NOT the new GT2 mule. It IS the first Pratt & Miller Corvette mule that set the path for the championship C5 and C6R’s.
It serves as our visual clue to where the GT2 test program is at this time. A GT1 was cobbled together to data-collect on the development plans, as the design and the dedicated GT2 mule are being work upon.
Aero and steel brakes are the big differences right now. But, the drivers like the car already and are responding to the way THEY get to control this new C6R. Translation - Downforce is less, but progressive, so you really steer the car vs 'point and shoot'. The brake pedal requires more touch to 'whoa the thing down' and make the pass. But, our boys have always been up the task.
Next 3 months get busy. At Corvette Racing, the lights are still on.... |
