| Audi builds an R8 race car for GT3.
Stunning.
But, it needs to be a car capable of racing @ Le Mans and the ALMS....and, therefore, willing to prove its mettle against the best - Corvette Racing.
BTW- Note no mention of powerplant in the official PR.
V8? V10? TDI Diesel? The Shell logo on the rear wing endplate may be a clue, however.
