| "Flying Dentist" Returns to Sebring | |

| Celebrating the 50th anniversary of his 1st place win in the GT class at Sebring in 1957, Dr. Dick Thompson accepts a BBV hat at last Saturday's race. Thompson, in his #4 Corvette along with racing partner Gaston Andrey, finished the race 12th overall.
Thompson's many accomplishments racing Corvettes in the late 50's & 60's helped to solidify the early Vette's reputation as a worthy competitor against arch-rivals Mercedes, Porsche and Jaguar. |
