| If practice sessions this week at Sebring are any indication of raceday performance, the Mobil 1 - 12 Hours of Sebring will be a tight race in GT1. While the C6Rs hold the top lap times, the Modena DBR9 is less than 4 tenths behind the 1:58.557 put up by Gavin/Beretta/Papis. What the drivers weigh after a big lunch can tack 4 tenths of a second onto a 2 minute lap, not to mention having other cars on the track come race day to close the gap.
The new Corvettes have been running surprisingly consistant throughout practice despite the rough Sebring track. Godug has the team organized with both CRs balancing the setup and testing work to end up just one lap apart in laps run.
