| Despite the loneliness in the ALMS, the GT1 class seems to be doing just fine over in Europe. [autosport.com] posted the official 2007 LeMans lineup released by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) and the Corvette's are up against some good competition. The GT1 field is up to 14 entries from 12 last year: 2 less Ferraris are made up for by 2 new Aston Martin teams, there will be 2 Saleen S7Rs instead of 1, and "Luc Alphand Aventures" has added a C6.R of their own to go along with their C5. It's shaping up to be a real battle.
Take 6 DBR9s against 4 Vettes, throw in a couple of Saleen S7Rs, a Ferrari, and a Lamborghini and you've got yourself quite a race. Oh yeah, something about 24 hours and 4 classes at the same time. This should be a good one. |
