| We thought the idea was you fight them over there so you don't have to fight them here, but after beating Maserati at Spa, it seems one of them has followed us home to Road America.
Long time racing veterans Doran Lista Racing with drivers Fredy Lienhard and Didier Theys will run a Maserati MC12 GT1 acquired last year for Lienhart's car collection. Risi Competitzione was the last one to race a Trident in ALMS. Corvettes won.
However, Road America is often referred to as America's European track. So, the race should produce the same close competition between the C6.R and the Italian mid-motor phenom that we saw in Belgium.
Look for a blue Maserati #27 to take on the yellow #3 and #4 Corvettes. But, hopefully they wont be shocked when their view of the pastoral beauty of Elkhart Lake is obstructed by 4 round tail lights and a BBV logo.
