Wow, we are still trying to catch our breath after that one!

This race, once again, proved that Corvette Racing is the best in the business.

Early in the race, the #3 was given a penalty for avoidable contact (stop and hold 60 seconds), and later had electrical problems with the shifting. After a lengthy fix they were nearly 30 laps down. The car later retired with an overheating gearbox.

The #4 started out strong and held the lead for some time. Then a bizarre electrical problems with a fuse in the dash caused an issue with the dash display and shift lights not working. The #4 was then given a stop and go penalty for pit lane speeding due to not being able to use the pit speed limiter. The team cut a wire in the dash for the traction control lights and all was good to go.

After a hard charge by Tommy Milner, Oliver Gavin, and Richard Westbrook and some luck with cautions, the #4 was able to gain 2 laps back and got back on the lead lap. The team eventually found themselves back in the lead, fending off a very strong SRT Viper, and was served a penalty for avoidable contact with the #23 Ferrari (stop and hold 60 seconds).

At the half-way point (6hrs to go) the #4 Corvette was on the tail end of the lead lap -85 seconds to the GT leader. With the pedal to the floor, and peak performance from the guys in the pit, the #4 Corvette clicked off positions and gained precious seconds lap after lap.

With 2 hours remaining, Tommy Milner stepped back into the car to pilot the Corvette to the finish with a 30 second delta to the leading Ferrari. Reminiscent to his 2011 Le Mans final stint, he was nothing short of spectacular. With one hour to go, both the Corvette and Ferrari made their final pit stop with a 15 second delta between then.

Milner was closing with an average of 0.5 seconds a lap and with only a few minutes left on the clock, the Ferrari made a mistake and ran off track, leaving the door open for Milner and ultimately gave Corvette Racing the victory.

Our mantra, Never Give Up, and Take No Prisoners has once again been proven true. This was one for the history books and highlight reels for years to come. This is the soul of Corvette Racing and what drives our enthusiasm.
