| This may be the last race car he drives. And it is a Corvette.
Paul Newman, a racer and generational patron of the sport, took a final drive around his home track Lime Rock Park. His trusted C5R GT1 helped put a smile on his face we are sure.
Wish this story had a happier ending, but it does not. Most of us weren't born when Paul caught the racing fever via the filming of 'Winning'. But, the result was that his Frank Capua role put a big stamp on our collective racing lives as Paul made his mark with sponsorship, team ownership, his own racing and .....winning. |
